Fu Niang Fang Organic Plum Fermented Vinegar

Fu Niang Fang uses a traditional brewing method. The ingredients undergo a complete fermentation process involving saccharification (conversion of starches to sugars), alcohol fermentation, and acetic acid fermentation. Compared with commonly available infused vinegars or blended vinegars, the resulting molecules are finer and may be more easily absorbed.

Brand Story

The husband-and-wife founders, both graduates of the Department of Food Science at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, were inspired by a personal family experience. When their son was eight months old, he was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, a condition commonly seen in East Asian children under five years old. The disease can lead to cardiovascular complications and acquired heart disease, and is typically managed through long-term medication.

Drawing on their food science background, they sought ways to improve their son's health. Through their studies, they learned that vinegar may help regulate acid-base balance, support immunity, and promote metabolism. They began sourcing organic Taiwanese crops, purchasing and screening microbial cultures, developing fermentation equipment, and experimenting with brewing methods.

After numerous failed attempts and years of research, they successfully created their organic fermented vinegar, hoping to provide a natural product that could contribute to better health.
